Communications

Committee Chairs: Navi Singh, Centier Bank

Co-Chair: Jana Ledbetter, REGIONAL Federal Credit Union

Works in conjunction with members throughout the association and regularly reviews and discusses current communication platforms the association offers and their effectiveness. Additionally, researches and develops other communication platforms and channels offered in the marketplace on a regular basis and recommends changes to the IMBA board.

Education Committee

Committee Chair: Rob Green, GVC Mortgage, Inc.

Works in conjunction with members throughout the Association to research and discuss current industry issues and challenges. Delivers training and information to effectively address the needs of the IMBA membership at the State Convention, Production Conference, and other state-wide events. In addition, works with the IMBA and Chapter Boards to develop the formats and agendas that will attract sizeable audiences and provide excellent value for those attending and net income for the operational needs of the Association.

Executive Committee

Committee Chair: Heather Tennell, Essent Guaranty

Budget - Reviews prior years' goals and accomplishments as well as the associated income and expenditures. Reviews and discusses goals for the upcoming fiscal year to help facilitate and plan the annual budget for presentation to the IMBA board. In addition, in conjunction with the Executive Director, researches new possible revenue sources for the Association on an ongoing basis, and reports monthly the financial position of the association to the State Board.

By-laws/Ethics – Reviews and discusses the IMBA By-Laws and Code of Ethics, and suggests any updates or changes to either as needed. Reviews and discusses any complaints from members as well as any federal or state actions in regard to a member’s activities that suggests a discussion that may lead to a member’s expulsion from the Association.

Nominating – Develops and proposes to the IMBA board qualified options for new officers and directors for the upcoming fiscal year, and proposes and interviews candidates to fill vacant Board positions due to resignations or re-assignments.

Legislative/PAC Committee

Committee Chair: Tevis Durbin, Supreme Lending

Discusses expected/proposed and current state legislative and regulatory issues impacting the residential real estate lending industry and provides input to the IMBA lobbyist(s) as to positions and actions. In addition, discusses with current members of the Indiana legislature and government, as well as candidates running for office, their support for disbursement of approved funds to approved office holders/candidates. Works with the IMBA and chapter Boards to develop and execute an annual plan to raise funds for the IMBA PAC. 

Membership Committee

Committee Chair: Palmer Myers, Meridian Title Corporation 

Discusses and develops lists of potential new members on a regular basis and discusses strategies to maximize retention of existing members. Sets annual goals for attaining new members in addition to retaining current members. Annually reviews and recommends changes to membership marketing material to the IMBA board and reports any new members or other committee activities to the Board monthly.
